General Policies

GENERAL INFORMATION AND POLICIES

 

Students are registered by their grade in the 2012-2013 School year.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE AND PAYMENT

Registration will be accepted only with complete payment.  Registration will be accepted on or prior to the 2nd class period.  There will be a $25.00 charge for checks returned as a result of insufficient funds.  Refunds are possible only prior to the second day/night of class.  Refunds are less $10.00 service fee per registration.  You may pay for classes:

IN PERSON:  Cash, check or credit card (VISA, MasterCard or Discover)

BY MAIL:  1220 E. Kearsley St., Flint, MI 48503, check or credit card

BY FAX:  810.237.1531, credit card

 

CLASS SIZES AND CANCELLATIONS

FYT reserves the right to determine final class sizes and the right to cancel any class if enrollment is insufficient.  In the event of a cancellation, any tuition paid will be refunded in full.

 

MEDIA RELEASES

The registration of a student also allows FYT and the Flint Institute of Music to use images of that student in any promotional, print, broadcast or online material.  Those wishing to not have their photos used by FYT must notify FYT in writing prior to the start of each term.

 

SCHOOL CLOSINGS

School closings may occur in the event of a snow emergency or other natural occurrence and will be announced on television, radio and on-line at FlintYouthTheatre.org.  Drama School will not automatically close when the Flint Community Schools close.

 

SHOWCASE

All eight-week classes culminate in a Showcase performance for family and friends on the final day/night of class.  Flyers will be distributed in class as take-home reminders of Showcase day, date and time.
