(ext. 229), Violin and Viola. Native of Dearborn, Michigan. B.A. (Violin Performance) Hope College, 2003. Works independently in the greater Detroit Area as a free lance musician. Member of the Troubadours, an outreach group through FIM that reaches over 100 elementary schools each year. Plays in Michigan Philharmonic (concert master), Dearborn Symphony (principal second violin), and periodically in the Flint Symphony. In addition, is an avid music educator, conducting the Concert Orchestra in the Dearborn Youth Symphony, the String Ensemble at Fordson High School in Dearborn, and a studio of private students in Dearborn. In the summers, plays viola in a string quartet that performs at various venues in the Upper Penisula. |
(ext. 273), Began studying the harp at age 8 with Julie Keyes. Received M.M. (Harp Performance), University of Michigan, 2009 and B.M., University of Arizona, 2007. Recipient of full tuition scholarships at both universities and studied with Professors Joan Holland, Lynne Aspnes and Dr. Carrol McLaughlin. While at the University of Arizona toured with the university harp ensemble, HarpFusion, to China, Korea, and Spain where she was selected to compete in the Maria Rosa Calvo-Manzano Spanish International Harp Competition. Performs regularly with top regional orchestras including the Lansing Symphony, Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra, and the Flint Symphony Orchestra. In 2002 she was selected to perform with the Olympic International Orchestra for the 2002 Winter Olympic Games. Competed in and won several competitions including the University of Arizona Concerto Competition, Southern Arizona Symphony Concerto Competition, and the ASTA String Competition. As a solo harpist has performed many concertos with the Murray Symphony including the Handel Harp Concerto in B-flat, the Rodrigo Concierto Serenata, and the Saint-Saëns Morceau de Concert. Also performed many solo and ensemble recitals throughout Utah, Arizona, and Michigan. |

Graduated from Michigan State University with a D.M.A. (2010), Tashkent State Conservatoire with a Golden Diploma B.M. and M.M. (1998), D.M.A. (2002). Master classes with E. Drucker, I. Kavafian , and P. Zukerman. Won Pittsburgh Symphony Concerto Competition in 2001. Degrees from Duquesne University: Artist Diploma (2001), M.M. (2003). Full scholarship for doctoral studies at MSU to study with Dmitri Berlinsky. In 2004, won 2nd prize at the 33rd William C. Byrd International Young Artists Competition (Flint, U.S.A.).
