The Flint School of Performing Arts is committed to all students who have the spark of music and dance, regardless of their income or ability.  Through the tuition assistance programs like Seeing Stars! and scholarships for private lessons and ensembles, students who would not otherwise have the chance, can study at the Flint School of Performing Arts.

Seeing Stars! is a special tuition assistance program for low to moderate income students. The program currently awards tuition assistance monies to nearly 350 music and dance students each year.

Each year individuals and organizations support Seeing Stars! with through donations to the program. What makes this program unusual is the personal contact between the students and donors. Those who contribute at the Super Star level ($500 annually) support a student for one year of study at the FSPA. They are invited, by the student they sponsor, to attend recitals and other performances, becoming a part of that student's experience at the FSPA.
