(ext. 247), Piano: Degrees in solo performance, pedagogy, accompanying and chamber music with distinction, State Academy of Music (Moscow) and both the State Conservatory and Specialized Music School (Kishinev, Moldova). She serves on the piano faculty at the University of Michigan-Flint. She uses her original method, Le Pianiste Debutante (The Young Pianist), which was previously published in Russia and released under four editions (1986, 1989, 1992, 1994). She has also published Daily Exercises for Young Pianists (1994). By invitation, she has presented workshops, lectures and master classes in Russia, Moldova, Ukraine, Poland, Japan, Italy, and the United States. Awards include “Honored Musician of Russia,” from the Moscow Union of Musicians in 1993. |

(ext. 217), Piano: was born in South Korea. After winning first prize in numerous piano competitions in Korea, including the Korean News Paper Performing Arts Competition and the Education Music Competition in Kyung Nam, she has been an active performing artist in Korea and the United States. Alongside being a concert pianist in her early years, Ms. Yoon earned a Bachelor’s degree in music from Saginaw Valley State University and a Master’s degree from the Ohio State University. She has studied with prominent pianists such as Louis Nagel, Steven Glaser, and Panayis Lyras. She is in the final stages of earning her Doctor of Musical Arts degree at Michigan State University. Currently, Ina Yoon teaches at the Flint Institute of the Performing Arts and she is a member of Davanti trio which is a chamber music ensemble in residence with the Flint Symphony Orchestra and the Flint Institute of the Performing Arts supported and funded by a generous chamber music endowment. |
