"When I Lay My Burden Down" is the truly uplifting performance of African American Heritage through music, dance and narration. "When I lay My Burden Down" features the talents of Sylvia Pittman, Artistic Director and FSPA Voice Department Chair, Creative Expressions Dance Studio and the Flint Jubilee Chorale. Reception follows.
February 17 | Friday| 6:00 to 7:15 PM | At the FIM Atrium
FAMILY DINNER $30 per Adult, $15 per Child (ages 5-12), under 5 are free. Enjoy a family-friendly dinner and includes reserved seating for that evening’s performance of When I Lay My Burden Down! Tickets are required in advance. Adult ticket includes and FSO concert ticket. Add $10 to Child ticket for FSO concert ticket.

BLACK CLASSICAL MUSIC FAMILY FESTIVAL GALA DINNER - SCHOLARSHIP FUNDRAISER - Join your friends at this elegant black-tie optional dinner. The Festival strives to inspire the younger generation and broaden the horizons of individuals through classical music. The efforts of the Black Classical Music Family Festival and the Flint Institute of Music share the vision of commonality and diversity by bringing families, communities and cultures together.
Sponsorship Levels (includes scholarship fundraiser dinner, reception, concert tickets, conductor and soloist meet and greet, FIM membership and program listing) Your tax-deductible scholarship contribution will help change lives!
Platinum • $1,000 • 10 FSO main floor tickets and 2 valet parking passes ($800 if booked and paid for in advance)
Gold • $500 • 4 FSO main floor tickets and 2 valet parking passes
Silver • $250 • 2 FSO main floor tickets
Bronze • $150 •1 FSO main floor ticket
Patron • $100 •1 FSO balcony level ticket
Dinner and reception for season ticket holders is $50.
A portion of the proceeds go toward the BCMFF Scholarship Fund. No refunds available. Unused tickets may be returned for a tax credit.
